Prototype of the ESOS 800 AI
A new generation of ultra-fast, AI-powered precision grape sorting is here. Scharfenberger, Strelen Control Systems, and MSTVision have joined forces to develop a next-level sorting system that combines decades of expertise with cutting-edge technology.
Scharfenberger contributed its long-standing know-how in building machinery for wine production, Strelen Control Systems brought its expertise in AI and sorting solutions, and MSTVision GmbH added its deep experience in high-speed image processing and ultra-fast sorting technology.
Together, we developed this system in record time and tested it during the harvest at multiple sites with different grape varieties, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Dornfelder. The results exceeded even our high expectations: despite using conventional camera technology, the sorting performance was at least comparable to systems based on complex multispectral cameras.
Visitors at our After Season Event as well as at the Sitevi trade fair in France had the opportunity to get to know the new ESOS 800 AI and see trial runs live. The system fully met—and in many cases surpassed—the high expectations of attendees.
