Scharfenberger Maschinenbau from Bad Dürkheim is representing itself on the this year Intervitis Interfructa on a stand of 544 m². The exhibition program represents some new features regarding the presses and grape processing as well as the known manufacturing portfolio.

As for the presses, a new Europress grape press will be presented as a new Scharfenberger product and will complete the press portfolio in the future. Furthermore Scharfenberger presents the new Europress models, available from 6 to 320 hl, as open, closed and dual system. A special attention was made on the new 6 and 9 hl models. Also the new Europress features the enormous fixed value and longevity, the use of reliable components of highest quality and easy operation.

As well in the exhibition program is the Euroselect destemmer with the innovative system for gentle destemming, awarded with the 2004 Intervitis Interfructa Innovation Award in gold. The visitors can inform themselves as well about whole cluster transport belts, vibrating and sorting tables.

Another new feature is the Viniclean, a machine to sort out mechanically destemmed berries in order to replace manual sorting. At the end of the vibrating section of the machine, the berries, petiols, leaves and stem parts reach a wide unit of turning dented discs and the outside dents will move the stem parts, petioles and leaves towards a discharging auger. The berries will pass through the discs and fall then in a pump, a transport belt, an additional sorting table, a bin, etc. Due to the soft material of the discs, the berries are not damaged.

Regarding the Braud grape harvesters, Scharfenberger is presenting the multiple awarded VL series in different versions; as standard version with back discharge, the specially with Braud designed lateral discharge version with destemmer, the Braud utility porter with multi row sprayer and multi function arm with deleafer, pre cutter and vine cleaner. Another highlight in this sector is the Braud VN type multi purpose porter, to be used all year long for the work in the vineyard. This machine can work multi rows and can be equipped as well with a harvesting head and so be used a s a grape harvester.
